Although it is theoretically possible to avoid installing anchor connectors, installing double swivel connectors can reduce the number of chain knots or flips while also improving anchoring accuracy and navigation safety.
When compared to single swivel anchor connectors, the Double joint chain swivel connector has a 360-degree rotating head as well as the ability to swing left and right. The performance has been improved even further. The improved swivel system allows the knotted chain to rotate independently, reducing hull sway caused by chain rotation.
The safety risk and service life of the anchor are greatly increased when the anchor connector is directly attached to the anchor shank and the anchor shank does not have a proper free lateral sliding area. When installing articulated double joints, we advise using D shackles, particularly those with a flush head to the pin to reach a relatively narrow fitting.
